We are Church860, a Calvary Chapel church located in Westerville, OH. This year some of our congregation has been called to participate in overseas mission work in Central America. We are searching for local business partners and community members to come along side us and support our mission work in ways large or small.
Our mission will be serving in El Salvador in the city of Soyapango. We are partnering with a local charity group from the area called CEDEINFA. They are a native- based group who are currently in their 20th year of supporting improvements in their local communities. Their approach is to serve the Gospel of the Two Hands by providing Spiritual Support along with Practical Assistance to some of the poorest of the poor in Soyapango. Their activities include supplemental food programs for families and single mothers, gang avoidance programs for kids, running 2 certified health clinics, and vocational training in fields as diverse as Carpentry, Tailoring, Auto-Body Repair, and Culinary Arts. They also provide study programs for children after school and run community restaurants for the elderly to gather at weekly, and drug rehabilitation services.
We are excited to be continuing our 8 year partnership with CEDEINFA and would love you to join us in that mission. We are asking for direct donations or for gift cards that could be used as prizes in a fundraising raffle. All monies raised will be going towards supplies for the local programs and helping to defray some expenses for those making the journey.
